Here are a couple of Advent Reflections that you may be interested in by Peter.

God of Business

St John’s is situated amongst some leading pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, one of the companies producing a COVID-19 vaccine. In this reflection, Peter Heslam provides some theological perspective on this major breakthrough.

 Aslan in Advent

Over the past few weeks, the small groups at St John’s have been following an Advent course. Using C.S. Lewis’ children’s novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, it has encouraged us to think in new and imaginative ways about the meaning of Advent. Following the group that Peter Heslam leads, he has written the reflection below. In it, he compares the pandemic to Narnia under the White Witch. And he suggests that the arrival of the vaccine is a sign that Aslan is on the move.
