Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2021

Currently, we are still unable to predict when we will be in a position to return to worship in Church; although James hopes and prays that we may be able to restore some kind of gathered worship in time for Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday, 28th March. In the meantime, we know that we will certainly be beginning Lent worshipping online.

There are full details of different resources for Lent in the next Parish Voice, which we hope you will find helpful. Most of our Home and Bible Study groups will be looking at the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book “Living His Story” by Hannah Steele and even if you are not in a group, you might also like to read this. The book is also the focus of the ‘Big Lent Read’ and so we’ll be able to share with you videos about the book, as well as the Church of England’s Lent App which will tie in.

More details of the national Lent resources can be found here:

If you aren’t yet part of a group and would like to be, please do let James or Chris know asap and we can see which group would be the best fit for you (and possibly even create a new group, if there is enough interest).

Ash Wednesday

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, which this year is 17th February. On this most holy of days we will be holding two zoom services (one at 10am and one at 7pm) and we would like to encourage as many of you as possible to join us, even though we won’t be able to include the traditional ‘ashing’. We will also be sending out prayers for people to use at home.

If you would like the links for our Zoom Services, please do email Chris
