Due to the current pandemic, most of our activities with Children and Young People are unable to run - we hope these will resume in the Autumn.
As gathered worship resumes at St John's, we will be holding a weekly All Age Service at 9:30am on a Sunday morning. There will be a limited capactiy for this service and physical distancing and hygiene measures will be in place. For more details about our services, including an intruduction video on how things will be different, see here.

Lucy has also produced some resources to help children talk about fear and anxiety during this time of pandemic, which you can download below.
Here are some other (non faith based) resources, produced by the NHS Children and Young People's Services, which signpost helpful material for parents and children to talk about emotional health and wellbeing.
Children, Young People and their Families are a really important part of life at St John’s and are welcome to join all of our services.
The church has a child-friendly area which you can use during any service; which contains a selection of toys, books and craft materials which will support your child’s worship. We’ve tried to provide quiet toys, but please don’t worry if your child does make a bit of noise! You’re welcome to use the toys in the area or take them back to your seat.
There are also a number of services and activities that are especially suitable for children, these include:
Children's Church - which runs most Sundays during term time
Choir - we have a very active church choir, which includes a strong treble line made up of girls and boys aged 7–18 years who follow the RSCM Voice for Life training scheme
All Age Services - which occur once a month, on the 2nd Sunday, at 10am
Messy Church - which occurs a few times per year, usually on a Saturday afternoon
Toddle Along - our weekly toddler group on a Monday morning
and
Youth Group - which takes place on a Sunday evening
Please do follow the links above to see more details about any of these activities...
Since we were are currently unable to meet as a church, families have been showing lots of creativity in exploring faith at home. Here are just a few of the entries into our Easter Bonnet Competition
Families arriving at St John's will discover our new children's area, which the Children and Family's Team recently installed. This new sacred space is designed to support the spirituality of the youngest members of the congregation and includes books, toys and resources, which can be used alongside all elements of the service.
